One of the first things I did when we started building our website was to take a look at a Website report card. The Report card shows how your website is performing in areas such as:
- On Page SEO...(things like metadata, headings, keywords, image optimization and readability)
- Off Page SEO...(...such as Moz Rank, number of indexed pages, Alexa traffic ranking, and number of links to your site..VERY IMPORTANT!)
- How effective is your blog? (..if you don't have one, we will talk about why you need one!)
- Is your Social Media doing anything for you? (...how are you doing on Twitter and Facebook...very effective and important these days!)
- Is your site set up to convert? (...do you have the tools needed to take you customer to act...or nurture them to becoming a customer?)
Most importantly, you can find out how your website compares to up to 10 of your competitors in all the categories above..(this is the FUN part and it is "competative intelligence" not spying!)
You will learn everything you need to know about how your website is performing and I will even spend 30 minutes walking through each item above. So if you don't understand some of those terms above (that's just what they call them..) I will go over it with you.
